The full support of JRES parents were felt as their presence filled the covered court for the General Assembly 2018 on June 1.
As a starting point for the 2018 General Assembly, teachers from each grade level were introduced by Mr. Oliver B. Abad. They all went on stage as the grade level was called. The parents warmly welcomed the whole teaching force of Jose Rizal Elementary School.
Dr. Rolando E. Soriano greeted and thanked the parents for taking time to attend the general assembly . he emphasized that their attendance on school activities like this plays a significant role on the development of plans and policies of the school, moreover, of the children’s development. Dr. Soriano also thanked them for showing full support on Brigada Eskwela 2018.
The Principal, then continued on the discussion of the school’s current situation. First, Dr. Soriano shared the success of the School-based Feeding Program. The number of severely wasted and wasted learners had a decline of 0.7% to 4.2% respectively at the end of the school year. There was also a significant increase of learners under normal health status at a rate of 83.4%.
Dr. Soriano has also underscored the sufficiency of materials and other resources. These include classrooms, teachers, toilets, and books. He also emphasized that currently there is a slight decline in the number of learners for the past three school years. The school head encouraged the parents to continuously support their children, especially in maintaining good attendance.
The parents and the learners also had the chance to meet the advisers on their respective classrooms for the soft opening of classes. The school and classroom rules, schedule of classes, and materials needed were also taken up.
