In order to assess the preparedness and awareness of every individual, including the disaster management preparation of the school, and ensure the safety of pupils, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders during the actual occurrence of the disaster, Jose Rizal Elementary School conducted the First Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on March 10, 2022, 9:00 o’clock in the morning, in accordance with the memorandum given by the Schools Division of Pasay City in all public elementary, secondary, and special schools.
Traditional forms or exercises requiring physical interaction, such as mass gatherings, evacuation drills, and onsite drills, were discouraged to meet minimum health standards. As the bell rang for 60 seconds, signaling an earthquake, all DepEd personnel and students were urged to practice the earthquake drill in their respective areas and houses.
On the other hand, Jose Rizal Elementary School learners and teachers attended the ceremonial ringing of the bell program facilitated by the Office of National Defense via Zoom meeting, Facebook page live, and YouTube channel live of the said agency.
